That Ring Thing

 Bo Toss Ring

Today I made my prototype for a fleece toss ring for Bo. Its got 18 tassels on a rope ring. He absolutely adored it which is good. The rope rings we found are a bit bigger than what we saw but they are perfect for our larger dogs and about the size of a large frisbee. Which is good as he can finally catch it easier than the actual frisbee. They are part of my attempt to spread the love and help people get gerat dog toys big enough for their pups without spending a ton on catalog orders. We’ll see if anyone thinks they are worth it.

Beautiful Lengths

 Beautiful Lengths Banner

More than just an ad campaign or a new product. Pantene’s new beautiful Lengths product also has a message of hope and charity.  Donations of hair for those with cancer who have lost their hair are pledged and donated. They have wonderful resources to help someone make the donation. Coupons came out in this past weekend’s paper for the new product which got my attention.

My hair has about grown to the bottom of my shoulder blades from the chop I did in the winter (I donated through Locks of Love). I can’t say I don’t miss the extra length but it was a fun experience and the knowledge that I helped some little girl’s dream of having long hair makes me all warm and fuzzy inside.

Frugal Inspiration

     What Would George Do?
While there are many people over at hotcouponworld.com that inspire me, not all of them are so easy to follow as JANE4girls.  With a blog following her quest to keep to a $800 yearly budget for her family of her and three girls. Did I mention she’s a single mom? That means if she can do it with $800 imagine how close you could come with just a little bit of effort. I don’t do anywhere as well, but I have almost zero storage right now. But please, go, read, and be inspired.

More Than Brass Balls

     Steampunk Desk

Its called steam punk and its my husband’s new obsession (or should I say one of them). I can’t blame him as its awfully pretty and rather keen all over although probably not on our budget or with the lack of space and workbenches/tools we have. From the etched Altoids tins to the Victorian all-in-one PC its all pretty. And of course the Victorian nature of it appeals to the old school Vampire in Tim. He always preferred velvet and ruffled cuffs with his fangs.

On his list of first things to complete is the RSS clacker and lamp. I think the lamp will go well on our roll-top desk, but the clacker may take some stomaching.

Come Again?

I went to log into Flickr today to find an image for the post header and was greeted with the following:

Now I’m not sure what a copy in Korea has to do with optimal performance, but something tells me I won’t like the answer if I do some research. I picked the yes option. Faster is good and I doubt Koreans have any worse security than our own government.
