Shades of Purple

Ever wonder how far a dollar will really go with a bit of effort? Well while I could do some extreme math and show you how far a dollar really goes (and might later this week) right now the only thing I have to show is a trip to Walgreens I made a couple months ago. I made three transactions to use the register rewards from one to help pay for the next. Two lovely ladies at the makeup counter were more than willing to entertain me. I could have paid less, but I forgot a coupon. It would have made the total 2.50 less. My total out of pocket was 11.46.

I bought:
2 x RX Essentials for arthritis
2 x Doublemint gum
4 x Juicy Fruit gum
4 x Extra gum
4 x Aveeno lotion
2 x Planter’s Trail Mix
1 x Airwick Freshmatic
2 x Airwich Freshmatic minis
1 x Glade Oil Candle Holder
4 x Glade Oil Candle Refills
1 x Venus disposable razors
1 x Aqua Fresh toothpaste

And had at least 6.00 in rebates from the Glade, Airwick, and toothpaste. I’ve learned alot since then and have many more great shopping trips. I do plan on starting to photograph a few more just to illustrate how easy it is and how much you can get for so little.

This is my first post in my new personal blog. I have a blog for my dog (haha that rhymed) but this one is meant to be more personal and eclectic. Hopefully more productive as well. So look for randomness, meaningfulness, and other craziness that is my life. My hope is that I can manage more of a rounded subject matter, since unlike the puppy I won’t grow out of being cute and easy to handle (cause let’s face it that happened years ago).
